4 x large exterior public artworks sited around Clooney Estate, Derry/Londonderry.
Three stainless steel sculptures and a exterior mosaic (9m in length). Sculptures are approximately 4m in height.
Funded by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland ‘Re-imaging communities programme’.
The theme: ‘Flocking Through the Streets’ – based on the history of the area.
The area was originally a marshland as it is situated close to the Foyle estuary which attracts shearwater, lapwing, heron and curlew bird species.
I worked closely with Clooney Estate Resident’s Committee and the local children, Youth clubs and Over 55’s groups. The committee represents a very active group of people who were fully involved in the decision making processes regarding artworks, scale, sites etc.

I also worked in conjunction with a local engineer, the local council, Northern Ireland Housing Executive and The Roads Service.
